14 years of Successful Telemarketing Campaigns

Fourteen years is a long time to work in one sector, and as a business owner of this longevity, you come to realise that you do need to have a very good level of repeat business for your services. Hence, after this period of time, it’s probably fair to say that we have provided very good telemarketing and lead generation services for our clients over the years – and that’s why we are still here (the last few years haven’t exactly been simple have they). It’s always nice to win a new client, but it’s even nicer to get that second order from them – and so on, and so on.

Over the many years of running campaigns for a wide variety of clients, from a huge cross section of industries, we have over time developed a “best practice” method of putting together the building blocks of a campaign. This simple structure that we have developed – which are almost step by step instructions to get started, means that we can very quickly prove our worth, and get us all to a point where our clients do place that second order.

The key foundation to any campaign is data. Even if our calling activity needs to be delayed to get a data structure in the right place, it is vital that a good quality data set is employed in any outbound telesales calling exercise. We have seen too many clients try to “skip” or rush this part of the setup process, and our experience means that we can quickly call a “time-out” to make sure that 100% focus is applied to getting the calling data in the right place before anyone picks up a phone (we can help with this of course).

The data set should also be right for the campaign – we had one client recently ask us to “just ring everyone” which of course we can do, but this is not a smart or an intelligence use of anyone’s time when it comes to lead generation – and we’re experienced enough to politely explain this, especially in cases where are presented with a list of FTSE 100 CEOs who are unlikely to take calls for the services that our clients are pitching. Hence, we do look into which job titles will be the most likely to be interested and engaged in the sales calls that we will make – and we use the most efficient and cost effective methods to obtain data lists for target contacts within businesses.
